The Edmonton Council is not following the science and facts and are virtue signaling like our Prime Minister by not telling the full truth on plastics and the damage the alternatives will do.

The biodegradable plastics made from organic and recycled materials are amazing and work just like the old (so called bad plastics). Have you ever tried using the biodegradable straws made from plant material at Booster Juice? I even did a small test afterwards to see if it actually degraded in the yard over a 30 day period and it did. We need more materials like that if they keep preaching “climate change” scare tactics.

How are dog owners expected to “stoop and scoop” without plastic bags? Biodegradable bags should not be prohibited they help with many things including the green bin program.

Leave the plastic bags alone. Seldom are plastic bags ‘Single use’! Following their use at the stores they are used for many different things around a household.

They also provide entertainment for those of us that pick up the ‘escapees,’ if you will.

Yes, I pick them up and after doing so I use the for good ones various other purposes like picking up the other things like the cardboard straws.

Leave the taxpayers alone! Quit trying to impose you questionable ideals on us already!!
