Stop needless spending on bike lanes. There are lots more important needs in Edmonton that benefit a much higher percentage of people.

You are literally pricing people out of their homes. Why not increases for the multi million dollar businesses and cut your constituents a break? More and more people will be eating from food banks and that is nothing to be proud of as a city.

Using people’s homes as a base for charging them taxes is insane. Seniors do not have a 6.4% income increase. At this rate people will not be able to afford to keep their homes.

All the people have to spend within their means or they go without. Council is supposed to be a good example of fiscal responsibility, so start being responsible.

The carbon tax on businesses remains in place in light of the federal budget narrowly passing November 18, This means consumers bear that burden. A tax hike for citizens will add to the burden of being taxed too much. Please lower taxes to ease the burden and perhaps start a trend that other cities may want to follow.

It shows they know nothing about budgeting or doing their job if this is the only solution. That’s why I moved from there 5 years ago, owning a home in Edmonton is not affordable
