I used to take it all the time when I was a student but I have not used Edmonton Transit since 2020 when they forced people to wear masks on it. Then when they changed the bus routes and removed the bus stop up the street from my house that was pretty much it for me. Would much rather drive than walk 4 blocks to the nearest bus stop. Now hearing that is unsafe as well, is just another reason not to use Edmonton Transit. I feel bad for the people who can’t afford to drive and/or are unable to drive. Maybe the mayor should make this a priority instead of building bike lanes that no one uses and that create even more traffic jams due to reduced/removed roads. The City of Edmonton planning has been quite terrible in my opinion. I am going to be moving out of the city as soon as I possibly can (and I’ve lived here my whole life.)

Maybe just maybe Mayor Sohi sould give back the 11 million he witheld from the Edmonton Police Service budget. Then add the 100 million proppsed for the useless bike lanes that less than 1% of Edmontonians actually use. The 110 MILLION could then be used for transit security upgrades with the resulting improvements more people would actually use the cesspool we call the LRT.

    WAKE UP!!!

I agree we have laws in place enforce them stop making groups exempt. The city is teaching them they can do what they want no consequences.

I have personally witnessed an unprecedented amount of illegal drug use at transit stations and harassing behaviours towards other passengers on buses on the south side of the city. The mentally ill and drug addicted populations are so out of control in this city it is no longer safe to live here or ride the transit system. City Council needs to get a handle on the problem now!
