I would like the proposed bike lane schedule to be built on 79 St to be cancelled and the money saved rather than spent and property taxes to be raised. Stop the madness. Remember I worked my entire life on to be taxed even higher in retirement I cannot afford this unnecessary bike lane.

I see a great deal of unnecessary work being done by city crews (eg: painting artistic images between white crosswalk lines) and contract road construction work.

Perhaps the city could be more frugal in its approach to revamping our road system. That would save on costs (and our tax dollars) and allow easier mobility around the city (fewer roads barricaded off for construction.

People have ridden bicycles in this city for decades. We just road on quieter side streets. The city officials of old did not impede vehicular traffic in a misguided attempt at climate remediation.

P.S. If you continue down this road (pun intended) perhaps the fuel road tax assessed on

vehicular traffic should be shared with the cyclists.

    For goodness sake…wake up!
