There are more important issues in Edmonton to spend our tax dollars on than bike lanes. Bike lanes need to be 100% funded by the people who will use them and definitely NOT funded by increasing property tax. Why not fund bike lanes with a Bike License, charge the people who want & use the bike lanes!!!

I think the way the city is implementing bike lanes without fully examining the are is a waste of tax payers money.

We have lost track of how many times cyclists have run their stop signs at 110st and University Ave and we have had to slam on the car brakes to avoid an uncomfortably close call. Bikes on sidewalks daily in Braithwaite Park, right beside the dog park. The access bike lane runs the length of 112st so cyclists cut through the park….Limited access into and out of the neighbourhood….So done!!!

Local opposition worked on 40th between 114 Street and 119 Street NW. Instead of bike lanes in residential areas, robbing residents of parking, bike riders should be educated on how to ride safely in traffic.

I’ve lived in Delton for years and have yet to see the existing lanes be used to any extent. I’ve seen maybe a dozen bikes on them since they were built. Complete waste of money. Infuriating that our elected officials can’t see that.
