How about we worry about the simple things first like clearing the snow in my neighbourhood in a timely manner. Maybe getting the street swept before June. Fixing the city fences that are falling apart in the neighbourhood. Lastly maybe cutting our green belt grass more then twice a month.

This is the dumbest thing ever. How about taking care of our homeless. We should have a say in where our taxes are going. The mayor and the council members who voted for this need to go!!!! This is the height of stupidity and incompetence!!

For those who don’t know – It cost around $350,000 to remove bike lanes in the west end – they were not used at all. Wonder if these councillors know this. The bike lanes put into Alberta Avenue area are not used either – what a waste of tax payers hard earned money.

I cannot believe that the city is willing to spend this kind of money on a project that most people do not want and then raise property taxes to pay for these kind of projects. Scrap it and save the taxpayer money for projects that are needed and will make a difference.

Another example of this council’s refusal to fund the basics while pursuing expensive vanity projects.

I lived on 83 avenue and 103 street and after living there for three years I have to say edmontonians do not use the bike lanes and to spend what the city is spending on bike lanes is a JOKE! Trust me we are not Copenhagen!
