Well you want to charge for bags that will end up in the recycle bin. We might as well throw our money out the window. All you did is pissed me off now everything from our household goes into garbage !!! Not interested in recycling

    GOOD JOB

If you actually want to reduce plastic waste, then all plastic cups and containers are the real problem. If you ban them than businesses like McDonalds will go out of business and you won’t have their tax revenue.

In the case of restaurants, council expects people to bring their own bags or pay for bags (which are already built in to the price). The concern is that with this practice, there is a possibility of cross contamination with re-used bags.

This fee is totally ridiculous! Where does the money for these bags go? Take out food already has the fee of those containers and bags built in, so again we are paying for them twice. Enough already. I for one eat out much less now then ever.

This plastic ban is absolutly ridiculous, if you really think being woke will change anything perhaps its time to get rid of the mayor, even the supreme court of Canada stated this was unconstitutional, time to get rid of Sohi and his stupid policies. Deal with crime, and homelesness, not this bs about plastic bags.
