I have told you time and time again that you need a Director of Budget. His or her first job should be an automatic 5% cut in our City’s spending

Taxes are too high and I’m not really seeing my city improving for all the money I’m paying!

You people are out of control with your spending of our money on special interest projects such as $100,000,000. on bike lanes that very few tax payers use, especially in the winter. Then you spend more of our money to prioritize cleaning them before the streets! And in the last few years you have taken money from what the police should receive to do this.

Do you want to know why people don’t go downtown anymore? Walk those streets yourself, especially after dark, and you will know why! It isn’t safe with all the drug addicts and people with mental health issues roaming even Jasper Ave., where my son and I were accosted just the other night and had to run to safety!

You people need to find efficiencies and cut your spending, not foist ever higher taxes on us. Put considerable money back into the snow clearing budget and the police to make our streets safe! Wake up!

You council people are “out of control” with your spending. Your lack of common sense management of the city and its services is abhorrent at best. $100 million on bike paths over 4 years (ridiculous)! Electric bus implement.(disaster)! Land Development “Blatchford” Epic failure! Homelessness is complete and utter failure. Suggestion: Empty “Remand Centre” would have helped some of the homelessness problem. I can go on about transportation and LRT mismanagement, however, I am already extremely upset and ashamed to live and work in the city of Edmonton. Planning on moving away because of the above. No more tax from me.

Stop spending on initiatives that only a few benefit from. If it’s a benefit to the majority of the population then it is a good choice. If it benefits less than 30% of the population, then it does NOT serve the public interest.
