Under the present “ Mayor’s “ leadership our cost of maintaining a home is getting beyond reach. The proposed tax on our houses are out of control. Seniors are still contributing heavily towards the education part of the tax also. My son is grown up, my grandchildren are fully educated…..it is time when our contribution should be dismissed, at least on the education front.

“As for those who are engaged in government service, they should perform their duties with the utmost fidelity, trustworthiness, rectitude, uprightness, integrity and high-mindedness. Let them not tarnish their good repute by pursuing personal interests, nor, for the sake of transient worldly benefits, make themselves objects of public odium and outcasts of the Threshold of Grandeur.”

Individuals must live within their means. Those who don’t will end up in debt. Why are our leaders exempt from the basic understanding of economics?

Quit with the pet projects that are costing us money and achieving nothing for Edmonton residents and tax payors. Quit pandering to the latest propaganda and wasting our money. Learn how to prioritize basics.

Stop overpaying employees that don’t do their job, and get the same rates of salaries of any other working class

I can’t afford to live here anymore. As a homeowner, sole proprietor and single parent, it’s too hard to make ends meet anymore.

I object strongly to the huge increase in our property tax.
