Many Edmontonians are asking this very question.

Recent debacles with electric buses, bike lanes, and Councillor raises put core services into the spotlight.

People are questioning just what the City is doing with our tax dollars.

Despite rising property taxes, complaints about services like snow removal, pothole repairs, basic maintenance, and infrastructure persist.

Clearly, there is an urgent need for a shift in priorities at City Hall.

Since the inception of Common Sense Edmonton, we’ve been screaming from the rooftops for a return to prioritizing core services.

It's time for City Hall to listen.

Edmontonians deserve reliable, efficient, and uninterrupted access to essential services that support their daily lives.

Prioritizing the maintenance and improvement of core infrastructure and services, such as water, sanitation, and roads, is the essential job of City Hall.

In fact, it should be the only job of City Hall.

Core services form the backbone of a functional and thriving city.

We must end non-essential projects that don’t directly benefit the majority of residents.

Our resources should be allocated where they are needed most, ensuring every dollar spent makes a real difference in our community.

Residents deserve to know their taxes are being used effectively and responsibly, with a clear focus on only the necessities.

No more chaos.

No more pet projects.

No more misplaced priorities.

It’s time for City Hall to get back to basics.

Continued tax increases are chasing people out of their homes and out of the city. Our council needs to look at how their decisions affect everyone, not just a few. They are not our council reps to fulfill their dreams, but to make Edmonton a affordable, safe place, with dependable public transportation. Throwing money at the homeless is not working. Find somewhere safe for them to have their villages. Instead of building shelters that they don’t want to use.

This mayor and city councilors need to stop and do what is right for everyone. Spending money that isn’t theirs on things no one actually wants. Make change where it matters.

We can not afford this councils decisions to continually spend with no thought of weather or not we need over budget and under utilized infrastructure

Spend more on the needs of the entire populace, not just the wishes of a few. Mayor and council have done such a poor job, their salaries should be cut back, not increased under any circumstance.

Tax hike is a sign that council doesn’t know how to do its job and there last proposed the taxpayers. Every single council person should resign or be fired.
