And this should include a halt to any pay increases/perks our Mayor and City Councilors receive until the budget is balanced!!!

I find it appalling that with the supposed financial crisis the the City council would take a raise increase. City councilors already make way more than the majority of the population and you want to raise our taxes to cover you wage increase, and your pet projects. They need to start looking into the future and quit planning for what sounds good today, it may not be fiscally responsible for the future. The TAX payers are not a money tree to be picked every year. The constant tax increases will drive a lot of people from their home, into homelessness. Maybe pay more attention to that, then your own personal projects. If necessities are taken care of the city will beautify and become viable. If taxes make the middle income, retired, and low income broke, then our system is broke beyond repair. Companies getting tax breaks while your taxes break citizens is appalling. Who will support them when the little guy runs out of money.

This council needs to get to work to quit spending millions on unnecessary things and get back to providing this city with basic services!
